Tech Lead
Helps the church’s technology serve worship, communication and community reliably — keeping the tools useful and the focus on people.
Life, faith and service
It shapes how I work, build, welcome and serve. Since moving to Cornwall in May 2023, Connect Church and Creation Fest have become important places to use practical skills for something larger than the task itself.

What that means
For me, faith is both conviction and practice: truth held seriously, grace offered generously and service made tangible. It turns up in the obvious spiritual places, but also in planning, patience, cooking, cables, checklists and the unnoticed jobs that help a community flourish.
I became part of Connect Church Cornwall after moving to Wadebridge in May 2023. Its focus on connecting with Jesus, each other and the community feels very much like faith with its sleeves rolled up.
Connect Church Cornwall
Technology and hospitality look different on a task list. In practice, both are about helping people feel supported and able to take part.
Helps the church’s technology serve worship, communication and community reliably — keeping the tools useful and the focus on people.
Serves practical hospitality for a regular point of connection, conversation and encouragement.
Leads the kitchen side of Alpha, making generous welcome tangible one meal at a time.
Creation Fest
Creation Fest celebrates the good news of a God who loves us. It is also a substantial live event powered by teams of volunteers — which means hospitality, technology and careful coordination matter enormously.
May 2023
Moved to Cornwall and became part of Connect Church in Wadebridge, finding a new community and fresh places to serve.
Creation Fest 2024
Helped cook three meals a day for around 400 volunteers — large-scale hospitality powered by teamwork, early starts and very large pans.
Creation Fest 2025
Joined the festival IT team, bringing professional technology experience into a complex live volunteer environment.
Creation Fest 2026
Leading two vital areas for the 25th Annual Event, taking place from 6–9 August at the Royal Cornwall Events Centre in Wadebridge.
Beyond the job titles
Some are active, some appear occasionally and some belong to earlier chapters. They all leave something useful behind.
Sound, projection, streaming, networks and all the calm preparation behind a live moment.
From breakfast to festival kitchens: food as practical service, welcome and community.
Building useful corners of the internet, improving systems and seeing what an idea can become.
Following questions across technology, business, faith, people and whatever has sparked curiosity this week.
Turning raw material into something coherent, watchable and useful.
A practical appreciation shaped by time helping on a cattle and sheep farm — machinery, animals and work with visible results.
Still an interest, even when there is rather more Cornwall than snow in the diary.
Years of designing and operating theatre sound and lighting, including leadership at Belfrey Theatre.
A long-standing interest, although no longer a regular part of the week.
Shotokan karate formed part of an earlier chapter and remains part of the wider story.
No longer riding, but still one of the interests that helped shape earlier years.
Not a current role, but previous youth leadership and one-to-one mentoring remain meaningful experience.
A simple aim
Sometimes that looks strategic. Sometimes it looks technical. Sometimes it looks like breakfast.
