Work and experience

Technology should help the organisation breathe easier.

My work sits where infrastructure, service, process and people meet: leading an MSP division, improving the systems around it and translating complex decisions into practical next steps.

How I think about managed services

The service is the product.

Tools matter, but clients do not experience a stack of product names. They experience whether they can work, whether somebody answers and whether the plan still makes sense when circumstances change.

A good MSP joins technology, process and communication into something dependable enough to fade into the background.

  1. 01
    Understand the business

Start with people, workflows, risks and expectations.

  2. 02
    Build the foundations

Choose infrastructure and controls that fit the actual organisation.

  3. 03
    Operate with care

Monitor, support, communicate and improve before small friction becomes expensive failure.

  4. 04
    Keep translating

Make technical reality understandable enough for good business decisions.

Selected chapters

Three pieces that shaped the work.

01 / Iconic IT

Built the MSP division and the systems beneath it.

Combined service design with the operational machinery needed to support customers consistently — helpdesk, quoting, inventory, reporting and delivery.

02 / MELONPUP

Created continuity after a business closed.

Established a new MSP, preserved client relationships and kept services moving while rebuilding the operation under an independent name.

03 / Ascentas

Carried the service into a wider digital-transformation business.

Leads the IT division as a focused MSP capability alongside Ascentas’s document, information and process-automation services.

Beyond the day job

The same building instinct also became a group of ventures.
